I got some film back and I am extremely happy about it. These are taken on Portra – there is a lot of buzz around Kodak Portra on the various film communities I dip in and out of on the internet. I myself have always been of the humph, film is film school but I felt compelled to get some. And damn it is pretty sweet, I must say. Drat. I went to buy some more but it’s gone everywhere. I think there is another film renaissance going on. These were all taken with my Praktica MTL 5 and a 50 mm 1.8 lens by Zeiss – all manufactured oh a million, million years ago, in the last century, before the wall fell. We were young at the same time, this camera and me. They built to last, the old Soviets, and I know my Praktica will outlast me.
